Teens and How We Treat Them
I love, love, love this article about teens and society. Read it! Think about what life was like when you grew up and what life is like for today's teens. I hope you will agree that life for 21st century teens is not great.
Life wasn't so different for me 20 years ago - I have a lot of restrictive rules.
I do agree within my homeschooling community that the youth are treated as young adults, apprenticing and learning trades. And that the extravagance of teenage-hood is not supported. I am glad to see that the secular world is starting to think about this created "teen" stage of life and evaluating it's falseness. Thanks for sharing this link I will be passing it along to others!
Growing Things: 4 fig trees 1 apple tree spring lettuce mix lacinato kale swiss chard carrots sunflower house 6 cherry tomato plants basil red pepper plants sweet onions asparagus prickly pear cactus? jujuba tree?
Other Things: stargazing rock/seat fire ring with log seats adult swing in a shady spot
